National Association of Women for the Arts 

Sandra Berger, Founder



Sandra Berger (shown above) is the President of the National Association of Women for the Arts (NAWARTS). As a quintessential New Yorker and arts patron, she founded the National Association for Women for the Arts to fulfill her goal of utilizing the language of the Arts to advance cultural literacy.  


Sandra is an art consultant to the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Multicultural Advisory Committee and a member of the education committee of the Museum of Arts & Design.  NAWARTS is a nonprofit arts advocacy organization whose mission is to support, expand and celebrate the diverse artistic landscapes integrated within the Arts through special events, art education initiatives and community partnerships.  

NAWARTS has collaborated with the National Endowment for the Humanities’ “We The People Initiative on national heritage celebrations and at the United Nations with Nation to Nation Networking Ltd.

Faye C. Feller - Executive Director of the National Association of Women for the Arts, has had a lifelong involvement with multicultural arts and education programs for children, youth and communities. She designs programs that preserve cultural traditional art forms.  

She has served as Co-Chair of the NGO Committee on Education at the United Nations. She has been in the forefront of major initiatives in support of the U. N. Decade of Education for Sustainable Development, the International Decade for a Culture of Peace, Water for Life and the World's Indigenous Peoples' Forum. She has held public office as a New York State Cultural Commissioner. 


Her programs have been featured on Public Television (WNET),  VistaAmericorps  and International programs for United Nations agencies.
